Many Malaysian suke kecoh tentang bende kecik2, esp yg berfikiran kampung-la (seriusly, i dont mind if ur from kampung, but kampung-minded?)... ikuti beberapa kisah yg memaparkan what one group of Malaysians (can apply to Singaporean as well) thinks about these situations...
1. SPEAKING BOTH IN ENGLISH AND MALAY OR CHINESE OR INDIAN (ROJAK)...thats the way i speak. campur2. no problem kalau nak ckp fully Malay or fully English, but nothing is wrong with that (what some people refer as Manglish).Someone : Yang kamu duk ckp campur2 ni apsal? tak reti ckp betul2? nak belagakla tu ckp english, tapi tak geti.. i, u, i, u... ckp melayu je la. kan senang!arghh... maybe that person tak sedar yg MOST Malaysians memang gune Manglish.- Grammar salah in writing n speaking... who cares asalkan faham sudah..- Additional LAH sebagai pelengkap ayat... sometimes MEH...- Malay words with additional -ING...example, lepak-ing.- Most common usage, I and YOU ganti SAYA dan AWAK...- Additional -ION for Malay words..example, malu-ation.- chinese words additional like PAI-SEH! FOO LAMAK! .....AH!- shortforms fr english word like RIDY, ADY (already)but memangla ade disadvantages using Manglish ni..- takut2 dlm interview kerja yg memerlukan penggunaan English (yg betul), tetibe terlepas ckp LAH...- bile menulis sesuatu yg formal dlm English pasti terkantoi me-malay-kan english word seperti direct translation yg kadang2 maksud jadi lain..- interaksi ngan pelancong jadi mcm itik n ayam. tapi biasenye pelancong no problem-la dgn Manglish, stil understandable what?- jangan dibiasekan depan superior-cikgu,lecturer, boss- nanti nampak tak sopan skit!tapi sedar kah mereke ni yg this is all apart of learning, mak bapak sy bukan org putih. so, im not a native speaker of english. Nak perfect english bukan senang, im tryin hard to be at that position. Please-lah consider Manglish as a medium of latihan... im not that good in english, yes i admit. but why bother when u cant even speak english pun, even Manglish! Manglish ni indah actually kalau kamu kaji. its the common sense how human can adapt to new things, new surroundings...foe example how we, Malaysian adapt with English language into our daily life...
2. SPEAKING FULLY ENGLISH WITH SLANGade beberapa my frens mmg pandai english, perfecto!!! siap ade slang lagi, british, american, or even australian. (refering to non-native speaker of english, can be a Malay dude gak). kelainan terasa lebih ketara bile bercampur dengan kengkawan yg jarang gune english...someone : hei, takyah nak belagakla nak ckp cenggitu. geli tekak den mendengar nye... melayu nak ckp english ade slang, mcm bagus!!! tatabahasa tunggang langgang, ade hati nak ckp slang... perasan hebat!*someone may apply as lecturers as well....(no further comment)ok i admit org yg ckp english with slang mmg kadang2 nampak belagak but due some reasons, that person might use it together with slang....- reason utama is born in english-medium family dimana kat umah dlm family ckp english, penggunaan malay, chinese, indian kurang skit..- ramai international kwn2 yg ckp slang lagi hebat menurut negara masing2...- byk menonton english drama n etc, imitate slang mereke...- reason yg tak leh diterime is saje nak berlagak...(yg ni sy belum jumpe sape-lah)bende ni bende kecik sebenarnye diperbesar2kan, kalau die ckp english-slang pun, die still Malay what? inside Malay outside pun Malay. ckp je english tak bermakne lupe jatidiri... ramai je bebudak KL yg mcm ni, tak terhitung ramai nye but once mereke dlm community malay-speaking (one references is UiTM), mereke dilihat sebagai golongan sgt PELIK! padahal kat UiTM ni ramai je yg pandai english, taknak show off je. cubelah wahai Malaysians fkir the positive side, lantaklah kalau niat person ni adalah untuk berlagak.. cube jadikan mereke role model supaya anda leh gak jadi pandai english mcm mereke one day, so jgn malu bertanya kalau tak tau. ini tidak, tak tau, buat bodoh je (SOMBONG BODOH). rugila..
3. SWEARING N CASTING EACH OTHER IN ENGLISHyg ni dlm mane2 budaya pun tak elok, bukan dlm Islam je... kadang2 fun gak gune ayat maki ni dlm perbualan mcm org melaka jadikannye sebagai satu language..huhu someone : apahal kau mencarut2 ni? english plak tu, kau fikir kami tak faham....tak sayang mulut agaknye...haa..yg ni aku pelik skit. BLOODY HELL ke, MOTHER FUCKER ke, bukan ke same ngan PUKIMAK KAU, LAHABAU, BABI...n etc ????? so, ape diff nye? cume bahase je, both r still mencarut gak... so no point nak kutuk org lain swearing in english padahal kau jugak same mencarut. kan elok due2 jgn mencarut!*tapi seriusly, best-lah mencarut n memaki esp tgh marah!!!! rase lege sgt...hahaso, konklusinye, ENGLISH IS ESSENTIAL (penting)... mari ramai2 kuasai english, so jgnla pandang serong kat org lain yg try hard nak pandai english with their own way... (artikel ni sgt sesuai dibace oleh bebudak Uitm)
